(Photo by KEVIN GUTTING) - Environmental and Native American activist Winona LaDuke delivers the keynote address during Hampshire College commencement Saturday in Amherst. She advised the graduates that to accomplish their goals, “Be aware and agile. Don’t be wed to a strategy.”

“AMHERST – Despite the forecast of rain, and one man’s widely publicized prediction for the end of the world, clouds gave way to sunshine and blue skies at the 41st Hampshire College commencement on Saturday.”I am not too worried about that whole Rapture thing some people are talking about, but each day is a good time to reflect and polish your soul,” said keynote speaker Winona LaDuke, a Native American and environmental activist.

She advised the 311 graduating students to think outside the box, take action where action is needed and do it with agility, adaptability and humility…”
